In an attempt to prevent people from signing up and posting explicit material etc. I have enabled admin approval so that when new users join they require me to approve them before they can post. I have also removed a number of users from the database. Marcus |

I have made 2 more modifications and put a warning on the registration screen to this effect. Not only will new users require approval, but they will only show up in the member list if they are active. This will prevent spammers from just signing up to post thir website link on our member list. Cheers Marcus. |

Stuart, I didn't fish when I lived in London. But if you want a change, how about thinking about going up river a tad and going after some estuary flatties. Perhaps one of the Medway towns? June's issue of Sea Angler shows a 2lb Dover Sole caught off Gillingham Pier by a young lad. Might be a good question to pose at The Sea Angler magazine? Sorry, I'm not helping.... am I? Juliex |

As a Mod for this site I have to OK new members. There is a possibility I sometimes get it wrong and mistake a spammer for a genuine new member. If this happens please get in contact with admin and it will be rectified. |

I am still getting spammers hitting the website daily, and it is a possibility that a genuine angler will not get their forum membership processed. If this happens, my apologies, please phone the president or chairman and I will rectify the situation. |

Along with the Security update applied a couple of days ago I have now made additional changes to continue to prevent spamming. Any issues with functionality please PM me and I will continue to watch the registration issue. Kind regards Marcus edit: Additional changes made 15:00 edit: Additional changes made 17:00 |
