Pier/Beach comp report 9 March 2010

[Davefish]

A strong north east wind, a dropping tide and the recent poor catches led to only 7 anglers fished the latest competition with only 3 weighing in. I fished in the groynes and managed 5 ling and a dab for a total weight of 530 grams my bag also included the nights biggest fish a ling of 140 grams and the biggest flat a dab of 110 grams. Second fishing at walmer with 2 ling was Luke Hutton with 170 grams and 3rd was Jane Shorter also with 2 ling for 140 grams.
Lets hope with have a change of wind direction and some warmer weather for the next comp
